"Because they regard not the works of the Lord, nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them, and not build them up" (Psalm 28:1,5). "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be" (Romans 8:6,7).
There is an awful consequence
Connected with carnality.
The carnal mind has no defense
Against its deadly apathy.
They do not heed the works of God,
Nor operation of His hands;
The carnal do not count it odd
That no one understands.
Not only is there apathy,
But hatefulness from hell.
The carnal mind is enmity
Against the Lord as well.
Escape the self-destructive way
Of this world's carnal mind
Come to Jesus Christ today,
And life and peace you'll find.
