Sessions for Sinners

"Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will He teach sinners in the way. The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way.... What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He shall choose" (Psalm 25:9,10,12). "Tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us" (Romans 5:3-5).

Class is in session for sinners who seek
The knowledge of God's way imparted.
The fear of the Lord and a heart that is meek
Are all that you need to get started.

We all qualify as those born in sin
In need of our Savior's salvation.
We have a course list before we begin
Of sessions before graduation.

The first course we take is in tribulation,
For through it our patience is tried.
When patience is learned (instead of frustration),
Experience thus is supplied.

The goal of experience has this great aim:
To hope with assurance in God.
And hope thus imparts that which never will shame:
God's love in our hearts shed abroad.
