"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD... to shew forth Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night... Thou art from everlasting" (Psalm 92:1,2; 93:2). "From everlasting... My delights were with the sons of men" (Proverbs 8:23). "The LORD thy God... will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing" (Zephaniah 3:17). "Then said Jesus unto Peter... The cup which My Father hath given Me, shall I not drink it?... For this cause came I into the world " (John 18:11,37).
How
good it is to think of Christ
And
give Him thanks for all He's done,
Who
knew He would be sacrificed
Before
this world had begun.
Give
thanks for everlasting love
That
Christ has shown to sinful men,
Delighting
in us from above,
From
everlasting; even then!
Give
thanks that Jesus Christ foresaw
The
joy that moved Him to endure
The
cross to satisfy His law
And
offer us redemption's cure.
O
Lord, we join with heaven's ranks
To
sing Your praise forevermore!
It
is a good thing to give thanks
As
we remember and adore.
