Granting Grace

"O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so" (Psalm 107:1,2).  "A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself... That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.  Have not I written to thee excellent things?" (Proverbs 22:3,19,20).  "They shall look upon Me whom they have pierced" (Zechariah 12:10).  "God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life" (Acts 11:18).

Give thanks to God who has redeemed
Our souls with heaven's highest price.
The value that we were esteemed
Was measured by His sacrifice!

Behold the things that God has written
That we may trust in Christ the Lord!
The Lamb of God for us was smitten;
His soul for our sake was outpoured!

Our Lord was pierced to be our Savior;
This was the price for us He paid
To thus extend salvation's favor
As on Him all our sins were laid.

We thank You, Lord, for granting grace
To Jews as well as Gentiles too,
That we may find our Hiding Place
As we have fled from wrath to You.
