"Forever, O LORD, thy Word is settled in heaven" (Psalm 119:89). "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end... And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:11,13). "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more" (Hebrews 8:12).
How
good it is to know forever
That
God has settled what He said!
We
do not rest in our endeavor,
But
in His faithfulness instead.
The
Lord declares to us His thought
To
give us an expected end.
Though
human plans may come to naught,
Upon
God's Word we can depend.
He
manifests His thoughts of peace
To
all who truly seek His face.
Our
praise to Him shall never cease
As
we explore His wondrous grace.
We
find our solace, Lord, in You;
Your
Word is settled and is proved.
Your
mercies are forever true
By
which our sins have been removed!
