Peace Publishers

“Thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in Thy truth… That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Thy wondrous works” (Psalm 26:3,7).  “Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end” (Proverbs 16:20).  “Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace!” (Nahum 1:15).   “Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it” (Acts 28:28).

The lovingkindness of the Lord
Is set before our open eyes.
What peace His Gospel will afford
With counsel that will make us wise!

We join the happy blood-bought ranks
Of sinners who have been redeemed
To publish with our voice our thanks
For riches greater than we dreamed!

We tell the wondrous works of God
Who saved our souls from condemnation.
He spared us from His judgment rod
Which fell on Christ for our salvation!

We publish peace by God’s instruction
With wisdom for the latter end,
Yet souls are plundered by seduction
Which spurn the peace that God would send!

Behold the feet that bring good news
Upon the mountains which they climb,
That publish peace that souls may choose,
Yet ONLY if they choose in time!

We cannot guarantee tomorrow,
Yet peace is offered NOW TODAY.
Eternity is filled with sorrow
By those who thought they could delay.

O Lord, we thank You for Your cross
By which Your blessings never cease.
How great is the eternal loss
Of those who will refuse Your peace!

O Lord, until we’re called above,
We’ll take Your truth to those who hear it,
To publish peace procured by love,
Revealed by your Holy Spirit!
