“They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from Thy law. Thou art near, O LORD; and all Thy commandments are truth” (Psalm 119:150,151).
Those who follow lies draw near,
So distant from God’s law and light.
The mischief they promote is clear,
Opposing all God says is right.
The Lord our God is near as well,
Who guides us by His precious Word
And sends us forth that we may tell
The Gospel truth that we have heard.
How needful is Your presence, Lord,
As enemies of truth increase!
Your Word equips us with Your sword
To preach the Gospel of Your peace.
We thank You for this confidence,
O Lord, in knowing You are there
To be our Refuge and Defense
Who hears us as we lift each prayer.
