Safely Separated

"Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom. A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.... The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is safe" (Proverbs 18:1,2,10). "Say ye to the righteous that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him" (Isaiah 3:10,11).

Thank the Lord for that desire
Within our heart demanding
A search wisdom that was higher
Than our own understanding!

It was the Lord who strove within
By His convicting power
That prompted us to turn from sin
And run into His Tower.

The righteousness of Jesus Christ
By wondrous grace became
The only safety that sufficed
Through trusting in His name!

To all who in this Tower run,
We say: It shall be well!
But those who will reject God's Son
Shall not escape from hell.

We thank You, Lord, for separation
And safety in this place
In Christ, the Tower of salvation,
Who saves us by His grace!
