"Let your loins be girded about and your lights burning, and be ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord.... And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing" (Luke 12:35-43).
Live with a posture that's always prepared
For Jesus your Lord to return,
With loins ever girded, the Gospel declared,
And lights that continually burn.
Live as a steward, both faithful and wise,
Who lives for the pleasure of God.
Seek the approval of His searching eyes,
Since all other standards are flawed.
Live with a purpose to give an account
To God who has given so much:
Those He has given a greater amount,
Will give an accounting for such.
