"They shall praise the Lord that seek Him" (Psalm 22:26). "Those that seek Me early shall find Me.... and I will fill their treasures" (Proverbs 8:17,21).
How quickly fly the days of youth!
How much our children need the Lord!
O may they early seek the truth
With all the treasures therein stored!
Praise the Lord that some are saved
Who seek Him in their final hours,
And hardened sinners long depraved
May be set free from Satan's powers!
Yet for children, how much better
For them it is to come to Christ,
And thus escape the cruel fetter
Of sin that captures those enticed!
Before their youth is swept away,
O Lord, we pray for children now,
That they may trust in You today,
And we, by grace, may show them how.
