Behold the
pleasure of the Lord
Who places in
our mouth and hand
His praises and
a two-edged sword
As we fulfill
our Lord's command.
We sing the song
of jubilation;
We bear the
sword that is His Word.
Our song
rejoices in salvation;
Our sword reports
the Scriptures heard.
We sing the
praise of Jesus Christ
Who was foretold
with great detail:
For thirty
silver pieces priced!
The Word of God
can never fail!
O Lord, we thank
You for the song
And for the Spirit's
sword You gave
To sing Your
praises all day long
And preach the
Gospel that will save.
