"Praise ye the LORD… Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness" (Psalm 150:1,2). "Go in the way of understanding… The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding" (Proverbs 9:10). "They shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him" (Zechariah 12:10). "It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto Me" (John 6:45).
As we perceive
what God has done,
Beholding the
historic facts,
We're led to
worship God the Son
And praise Him
for His mighty acts.
As we perceive the
excellence
Of Jesus Christ,
the great I AM,
We ponder His
omnipotence
And yet His
meekness as the Lamb.
We see the
piercing of our Lord,
As Zechariah had
foretold,
As God's own
Spirit is outpoured
To show us
Christ, whom we behold.
Lord, by Your
Word, we are perceiving
Your piercing by
that Roman spear.
Your remnant,
too, shall see it, grieving,
When, by Your
Spirit, they draw near.
