Declare His Deeds

"Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people His doings" (Psalm 9:11).  "The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe… Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:10,21).  "The LORD God said unto the serpent… I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel" (Genesis 3:14,15).  "The Spirit of truth… shall testify of Me:  and ye also shall bear witness" (John 15:26,27).

Sing praises to our gracious Lord;
Declare His deeds that He has done.
His life for sinners was outpoured;
There's none like Jesus; no, not one!

Declare it to the old and young:
Christ is our Refuge and our Tower!
Now death and life are in the tongue
As we proclaim His saving power!

In Genesis, in chapter three,
In verse fifteen, the Lord God said
The woman's Seed with enmity
Would bruise the subtle serpent's head.

O Lord, You met our deepest needs,
Which, by Your Spirit, You foretold.
Now gladly we declare Your deeds,
Which we, with great delight, behold!
