"Praise ye the LORD… kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: both young men, and maidens; old men, and children… a people near unto Him. Praise ye the LORD" (Psalm 148:1,11,14). "I am the LORD their God, and will hear them… their heart shall rejoice in the LORD… for I have redeemed them" (Zechariah 10:6-8). "The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him" (John 4:23).
Let
all who worship Christ our Savior
Draw
near in spirit and in truth.
These
are the people God will favor,
Though
late in years, or yet in youth.
These
are the people who draw near
With
all who hear the Savior's voice,
Who
turn to Him with godly fear,
And
in His grace and truth rejoice.
Beyond
what people could have dreamed
Or
novelists could ever write,
Our
God has gathered His redeemed
From
darkness into glorious light.
The
profile of your people, Lord,
Is
not defined by wealth or fame,
But
by the grace that You afford
To
all who call upon Your name.
