Words of Warning

"God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.  Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one" (Psalm 53:2,3).  "A faithful ambassador is health" (Proverbs 13:17).  "I have made thee a watchman… give them warning from Me" (Ezekiel 3:17).  "By faith Noah, being warned of God… prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world" (Hebrews 11:7). 

The Lord from heaven looked on earth

To see if any understood. 

We all are sinners from our birth,

And there is no one who does good. 

But now that we've received the Lord,

He makes us more than conquerors. 

His pleasure is our heart's reward,

And we are His ambassadors.

In Christ we find our Hiding Place,

Who rescues us with His salvation,   

Like Noah who had found His grace,

And warned the world of condemnation. 

O Lord, we bring Your words  of warning

And words of lovingkindness too. 

We speak, though we are met with scorning,

Persuading hearts to trust in You.
