"Seek unto God… and make thy supplication to the Almighty" (Job 8:5). "In God we boast all the day long, and praise Thy name forever" (Psalm 44:8). "A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge" (Proverbs 14:25,26). "Jesus… saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee" (Mark 5:19).
Our
God provides for our salvation,
And
in His promise we confide,
For
we have made our supplication
To
Christ, who has for sinners died.
We
boast in Christ, our God and Savior,
Who
paid redemption's awful price
To
bless us with salvation's favor
Procured
by His self-sacrifice.
As
witnesses of Christ we rise
To
boast in Him with confidence,
For
God has heard the humble cries
Of
those who trust in His defense.
As
on that Galilean coast
Where
demons ceased to have control,
Lord,
we are blest to make our boast
In
You, the Savior our soul!
