"The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times" (Daniel 9:25). "The wall was finished… and all… perceived that this work was wrought of our God" (Nehemiah 6:15,16). "The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple… enlightening the eyes" (Psalm 19:7,8). "He cast out the spirits with His word and healed all that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses" (Matthew 8:2,3,17).
The wall was
finished and would stand,
As Daniel clearly
had foretold,
And all perceived
it was God's hand
That wrought this
work they could behold.
The testimony of
the Lord
Will make the simple
to be wise,
When prophecies have
been explored
Enlightening the
seeker's eyes.
Isaiah's
prophecy was written,
Announcing healing
deep within,
And to this end
our Lord was smitten,
For He Himself
has borne our sin.
O Lord, the work
You wrought for us
Was written in
the prophet's scroll.
We find it more
than marvelous
That You would
die to save our soul!
