"Now for a little space, grace hath been showed from the LORD our God… that our God may lighten our eyes" (Ezra 9:8). "The words of the LORD are pure words… Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever" (Psalm 12:6,7). "The law of the wise is a fountain of life… A faithful ambassador is health" (Proverbs 13:14,17). "JESUS… shall save His people from their sins… they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us" (Matthew 1:21-23).
The Lord gives
us a little space
That He may now
enlighten us
With words that shall
convey His grace
With mercy that
is marvelous!
His words are
pure, preserved by God,
To plainly speak
of His salvation.
Though some may
scorn and some applaud,
God sends us to
this generation.
The fountain of
God's precious Word
Imparts His
everlasting health.
Let His
ambassadors be stirred
To speak of His
salvation's wealth!
Lord Jesus
Christ, Immanuel,
We thank You for
the space to speak,
As You have sent
us forth to tell
Of saving grace for
those who seek.
