"The LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia… with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD... And all they that were about them strengthened their hands" (Ezra 1:1-6). "LORD, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us. Thou hast put gladness in my heart" (Psalm 4:6,7). "Great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints… All nations shall come and worship before Thee" (Revelation 15:3,4).
The
Lord has stirred the hearts of those
Who
by His Spirit will be bold,
As
in the days when Cyrus rose
To
build His house, which was foretold.
The
Lord has called us to obey
As
He is strengthening our hands
To
rise and build His church today,
For
still His great commission stands.
The
Lord has shined His face on us
And
put His gladness in our hearts
To
manifest how marvelous
Salvation
is that He imparts.
O
Lord, our hearts by You are stirred;
Our
hands are strengthened now to bring
The
proclamation of Your Word
That
magnifies You as our King!
