"The LORD hath prepared His throne for judgment… in righteousness… The LORD also will be… a Refuge in times of trouble. And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee… The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God" (Psalm 9:7-10,17). "Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death" (Proverbs 10:2). "I saw a great white throne… and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:11,15).
The Lord has
surely made it known
That He shall judge
in righteousness.
When scorners
then approach His throne,
How great shall
be their soul's distress!
There is a
Refuge in our Savior,
Before that day
of condemnation,
Where souls may
flee to find His favor
Provided in His
great salvation.
Though mockers
trust in fleeting treasure
And boast that
they are doing well,
It will not
bring them any pleasure
When they, at
last, reside in hell.
Our Lord, we
find our place to hide,
And righteousness
that You require,
Are found in You
because You died
To be our Refuge
from the fire!
