"We will not forsake the house of our God" (Nehemiah 10:39). "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever" (Psalm 23:6). "Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: and by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches" (Proverbs 24:3,4). "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand" (Matthew 12:25).
God's
house, comprised of all His own,
Will
grow by harmony within,
Not
measured by its wood and stone,
But
people Christ has saved from sin.
The
house of God shall stand forever
That
Christ is building in this life,
So
may now we with Him endeavor
To
guard against unholy strife.
Through
wisdom, therefore, let us build
The
house of God to give Him pleasure,
And
let His temple thus be filled
With
truth from Scripture's pleasant treasure.
O
Lord, how pleasant and how good
When brethren dwell in unity!
When
we have loved You as we should,
Your
house shall stand in harmony.
