Wondrous Way

"How then can man be justified with God?" (Job 25:4).  "The LORD taketh pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with salvation" (Psalm 149:4).  "By mercy and truth iniquity is purged" (Proverbs 16:6).  "How can we know the way?  Jesus saith unto Him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6).

Can man with God be justified?
If so, has God disclosed the way?
Must sinners wait until they've died,
To know then what the Lord will say?

God's way is shown to those who seek
The fullness of salvation's treasure.
The Lord will beautify the meek
And justify them in His pleasure.

The Spirit of the Lord has urged
The lost to recognize their need.
By truth and mercy sin is purged,
So where does truth and mercy lead?

Praise God!  They lead to Jesus Christ,
Who came with grace and truth for us!
For sinners He was sacrificed
And rose again victorious!

The Lord will surely make this known
To all who truly seek His face.
By our Lord Jesus Christ alone
We're justified by truth and grace.

For truth is found in righteousness:
There is none righteous, no not one,
Apart from Christ who came to bless
And ransom souls by sin undone.

The mercy Christ would thus extend
Required Him to bear our sin.
What grace we find in this our Friend,
Who died for souls that He would win!

He is the Way, the Truth, and Life;
There is no other Way to God.
For He alone has fought our strife;
He is the Hero we applaud!

How wonderful Your way is, Lord!
How great the need is for the lost
To see that You alone afford
Salvation, for You paid its cost!

The wondrous way of Your salvation,
O Lord, was purchased on Your cross.
We thank You for Your invitation
To thus be saved from endless loss!
