Shouting of the Sure!

"But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them" (Psalm 5:11).  "That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day... the certainty of the words of truth" (Proverbs 22:19-21).  "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name" (John 20:30,31). 

There is a reason to rejoice

When God delivers us from doubt. 

Let all who trust Him lift their voice

And with triumphant gladness shout! 

Since Jesus Christ is our Defense,

There is no surer Hiding Place. 

We rest in quiet confidence,

And shout for joy for saving grace!

Rejoicing in the certainty

Of every word that God has spoken,

We know the truth that makes us free,

For Scripture never can be broken.   

The signs that Christ our Savior gave

Were not all captured by the pen,

Yet God selected these to save

The reader who will trust Him then.

Your words, Lord, ever shall endure,

Though earth and heaven pass away.

We shout with joy, for we are sure

That we can trust each word You say.

O Lord, receive our shout of praise

With glad and grateful adoration! 

The sure foundation Scripture lays

Provides assurance of salvation.
