Lord in our Land

"If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).  "I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for He will speak peace unto His people... Surely His salvation is nigh them that fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land" (Psalm 85:8,9). 

There is a call to humbly pray,

To seek God's face and helping hand,

And turn from every wicked way

That God may heal thus our land. 

To all who trust in Jesus' name,

The Lord extends His invitation

To pray, yet also to proclaim

That Christ alone provides salvation. 

Our God shall surely thus reveal

The glory of His blessing in

The land that He will thereby heal

And also will forgive their sin. 

It's good to know that we can pray

As we in earnest seek God's face. 

It's good to hear what God will say

As from His Word He speaks with grace. 

Our God has brought salvation near

That glory in our land may dwell,

For grace that teaches us to fear,

Is that which saves our souls from hell. 

O Lord, we thank You for Your voice

That speaks of peace that You impart

In everyone that makes the choice

To trust in You with all their heart. 

Lord, fill our land with glory now;

Revive our hearts with love that's true

As with the Gospel You allow

The joy of bringing souls to You.
