"Men of valor... were officers among them of Israel... in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king... for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king" (1 Chronicles 26:30,32). "God is the Judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another" (Psalm 75:7). "A faithful ambassador is health" (Proverbs 13:17). "And the angel which I saw... said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings" (Revelation 10:5,11).
In
all the business of the Lord
And
in the service of our King,
We
find our joy and our reward
In
all that is Christ-honoring.
In
every matter that pertains
To
any business God requires,
God
is the Judge and He ordains
The
servant that His heart desires.
He
lifts us as ambassadors
To
show the lost His saving health
With
heaven's blessings that He pours
With
His redemption's endless wealth.
As
John, in Revelation's vision,
Was
told that he must prophesy,
We
have received the great commission
To
reach the lost before they die.
To
every people, every nation,
To
every tongue, to kings enthroned,
We
preach the Gospel of salvation,
To
free the captives which have groaned.
Your
business, Lord, which we embrace,
To
do whatever You request
As
You equip us by Your grace,
Above
all others, is the best!
