Grateful for Grace

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). 

Behold the poverty of Christ

Who set aside His wealth above
In order to be sacrificed
For those on whom He set His love! 

The love of Christ is marvelous! 

He saw our hopeless poverty
And gave His life to ransom us,
Enriching us eternally!

We know the grace of Christ our Lord,

Who laid aside His outward splendor:  
His soul to death was thus outpoured
To give His life as our Defender! 

O Lord, on this Thanksgiving Day

We thank You for Your wondrous grace!
Though we like sheep had gone astray,
You laid Your life down in our place!  

Receive our thanks and adoration

O Lord, for all the things You do,
Yet as we contemplate salvation,
We give thanks MOST of all for YOU!
