Gladly Glorifying

“I will praise Thee forever, because Thou hast done it” (Psalm 52:9).  “In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge” (Proverbs 14:25).  “They that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His name” (Malachi 3:16).  “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).

We’ll praise the Lord forevermore
For all the wondrous things He’s done.
We’ll stand in awe and we’ll adore
The majesty of God the Son.

The fear of God gives confidence
And teaches us to trust His grace,
For Jesus Christ is our Defense
Our Refuge, and our Hiding Place.

We gladly glorify His name
And think about His reputation:
From heaven’s splendor Jesus came
To be the Author of salvation.

There is no other place to look
For safety but in Christ our Savior.
Our names are written in His Book
With all those trusting in His favor.

It’s good to often meditate
And speak about what Jesus did.
There is no other love so great,
So why on earth should this be hid?

Whatever we are called to do
As life unfolds its daily story,
There’s nothing greater to pursue
Than giving to our Savior glory.

O Lord, we thank You as we speak
Of things pertaining to Your love
By which we learn that You are meek,
Yet Lord of all, enthroned above!

How gladly we are glorifying
Your name for love so marvelous
Displayed on earth when You were dying
Upon Your cross, O Lord, for us!

O Lord, until You come again
To reign as King of kings on earth,
We seek Your glory until then
In souls receiving second birth.
