Widow's Worship

"And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld HOW the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And He called unto Him His disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast more in than all they which have cast in to the treasury" (Mark 12:41-43).

Our Lord beheld the treasury
Back then (as well as now)
To see what others could not see:
Not just how much, but how.

He saw the widow's worship then
Exceed more than them all.
He saw her inward treasure when
Her outward wealth was small.

We know, Lord, that You watch us still
And ponder all our ways.
We would surrender all our will,
And give You all our praise.
