"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord.... For Thou, Lord, hast made me glad through Thy work: I will triumph in the works of Thy hands. O Lord, how great are Thy works! And Thy thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand this" (Psalm 92:1,4-6).
How good and wonderful it is
To thank the Lord for all He's done:
Wisdom, might, and love are His,
Displayed in Jesus Christ His Son.
Your thoughts, O Lord, are very deep!
How great the works are of Your hands!
Your promises You always keep;
Your counsel thus forever stands.
The fool by choice will know You not
And sets aside the evidence
Preserved in Your prophetic thought,
And thus remains without defense.
Receive our thanks, Lord, once again,
That You, in love, upon us thought.
How hopeless we all would have been
And helpless, Lord, if You had not!
