"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love... to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted (Greek "charito" = highly favored) in the Beloved" (Ephesians 1:3,6).
God bestows the highest favor
That can come from heaven's place
Through the love of Christ our Savior:
Praise the glory of His grace!
We are more than just "accepted":
Christ removed from us our blame.
By His grace we were perfected
When we called upon His name.
Before He gave the earth foundation,
Even then our Lord foresaw
And chose us to receive salvation
With grace that satisfied His law.
What countless blessings are bestowed
(Yes, all that heaven can afford!)
When we exchange sin's heavy load
For favor found in Christ our Lord.
