"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
How wonderful is the alternative
To the wages that sin would afford:
Death was our portion, but rather we live
Through Jesus our Savior and Lord!
How costly this gift our Savior has bought,
Yet freely bestowed to our soul!
Sweeping away the death that we wrought,
His gives life eternal and full!
