Star and Scepter

Read:  Psalm 125 / Proverbs 4 / Numbers 24 / James 3

 

Psalm 125:1-2 ~ They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even forever.

Proverbs 4:18-19 ~ The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Numbers 24:17 ~ I shall see him, but not now...there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel.

James 3:17 ~ The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

 

There is a Star that yet shall rise,

And every eye shall see Him then. 

Till then He calls us to be wise

And serve Him till He comes again.

 

There is a Scepter that is sure

As that great mountain set in Zion.

His throne forever shall endure,

And He shall reign as Judah’s Lion.
