Cut the Cords

Read:  Psalm 129 / Proverbs 8 / Numbers 28 / 1 Peter 2

 

Psalm 129:4 ~ The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Proverbs 8:11,35 ~ Wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared... Whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD.

Numbers 28:6 ~ It is a continual burnt offering... ordained... for a sweet savor, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.

 1 Peter 2:5,9 ~ Ye... are... an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ... Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood... that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 

 

The Lord alone could cut the cords

Which held us in our condemnation. 

We are redeemed!  We are the Lord’s,

For He has purchased our salvation! 

 

The fragrance of His sacrifice

Now fills our hearts with joy and wonder! 

We are His priesthood who arise

To show the cords He cut asunder.
