"When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came… and she said… I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it" (2 Chronicles 9:1-6). "He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him" (Psalm 126:6). "Doth not wisdom cry? Sheba heard the fame
Of Solomon, whom
God made wise,
And yet was
doubtful till she came
And verified it
with her eyes.
The Gospel is the
precious seed
Of greater truth
than all that seen
And verified as
true indeed
By Sheba's wise
and searching queen.
The Gospel of
our precious Savior
Is true without
exaggeration!
Almighty God has
shown His favor
Through Christ
who purchased our salvation!
May precious
seed, Lord, sown in season
In souls yet
perishing with doubt,
Bear fruit
through honesty and reason
In humble hearts
who search You out.
