“In God we boast all the day long, and praise Thy name forever” (Psalm 44:8). “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20,21).
In
God alone we boast all day,
And
praise His name forevermore.
All
we like sheep had gone astray,
But
on the cross our sins He bore.
Behold
the blessing we have found
In
Christ whom God brought from the dead.
His
grace, His truth, and peace abound
On
us for whom His blood was shed.
The
God of peace has brought again
Our
Lord and Savior from the grave,
Who
bore the curse for sinful men
To
bless the souls He came to save.
How
great our risen Shepherd is
Who
lives to work in us His will,
Who
crowns with blessing all of His
With
promises He will fulfill.
To
Jesus Christ our Lord be glory,
Both
now and evermore the same,
As
we recall redemption’s story
And
praise our Savior’s holy name!
How
rightly, Lord, we boast in You,
And
as on You we meditate
On
what You did and yet shall do,
We
stand amazed at love so great!
O
Lord, receive our heartfelt praise
As
we are boasting all day long
Of
blessing flowing from Your ways
Which
we proclaim in joyful song!
