“Behold,
how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the
head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard…. for there the LORD
commanded the blessing, even life for evermore” (Psalm 133:1-3). “I have given you an example, that ye should
do as I have done to you…. A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one
another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My
disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:15,34,35).
There
is a beauty to behold
In
unity’s behavior,
Wherein
our Lord shall thus unfold
The
goodness of our Savior.
Our
unity is like the oil
Anointing
our High Priest,
As
we have purposed in our toil
That
Christ may be increased.
The
love of Christ was clearly shown
Through
His humility,
By
His example to His own,
Which
called for unity.
By
this shall all men rightly know,
As
our love has prevailed,
The
beauty God would have us show
As
Christ is thus unveiled.
O
Lord, be magnified in us
On
earth, as now above,
Unveiling
praise that’s glorious
As
we portray Your love.
