"Thou
shalt fear the LORD thy God; Him shalt thou serve, and to Him shalt thou
cleave, and swear by His name. He is thy praise, and He is thy God, that hath done for thee
these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen” (Deuteronomy
10:20,21). “Jesus saith unto him, I am
the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me”
(John 14:6).
Fear
the Lord God and consider His ways:
Cleave
to Him, serve Him, and trust in His name.
Worthy
alone of preeminent praise,
He
is our Savior, forever the same.
How
great are the proofs in Lord Jesus Christ
That
He is the Way to the Father alone,
The
Truth, and the Life, and the Lamb sacrificed,
Fulfilling
what Scripture before had made known.
O
Lord, we give thanks for the grace You impart
That
grants us salvation we do not deserve!
Receive
the preeminent praise of each heart
Expressed
in Your people who gratefully serve.
