"God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; He judgeth.... They know not, neither will they understand, they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course" (Psalm 82:5). "Every Word of God is pure.... If thou hast though evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth" (Proverbs 30:5,32). "And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?" (Matthew 9:4).
Our God is judging in the midst
Of every earthly congregation.
He knows that evil thoughts resist
And turn away from His salvation.
The things we think and say and do
Are clear before the Lord our God.
He knows our claims that are untrue,
And all our righteousness is flawed.
The moral compass of God's Word
By many has been cast away,
Replaced by thoughts that are absurd
Of those who mock the truth today.
O Lord, within Your Word we find
Our haven and our hiding place
To purge and consecrate our mind
With thoughts You give of truth and grace!
