"Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works, or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent" (Revelation 2:4,5).
There is a reason to recall
That happy day we came to Christ
When we were rescued from our fall
Because our Lord was sacrificed.
What Love from heaven thus was sent!
How great His mercy then we learned!
When we remember, and repent,
We find our first love has returned.
O Lord, we thank You for Your love
That stirred our hearts to love You too!
The grace that sent You from above
Still fuels our first love, Lord, for You.
