"For the LORD hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation. This is My rest forever: here will I dwell, for I have desired it" (Psalm 132:13,14). "He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love" (Ephesians 1:4).
The Lord has chosen Zion's land,
For this is where He longs to dwell.
No foes on earth shall stay His hand,
Though they align themselves with hell.
The Lord has also chosen all
Whom He foreknew would trust in Christ.
Before creation and the fall,
He saw our Savior sacrificed.
O Lord, we marvel at Your choice
Which made us objects of Your love!
How great our cause is to rejoice
And set our hope on things above!
Lord, even from the earth's foundation,
You chose us as Your rest forever!
We thank You for so great salvation
Which You bestowed, and none can sever!
