Esther 8:16 ~ The Jews had light… gladness… joy, and honor.
James 4:8 ~ Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
We have a helmet and a shield
That God provides, and for good reason,
Since we are on the battlefield
And also in the harvest season.
In Esther’s day, the Jews had light;
The Gospel gives us light as well
That we may labor and may fight
To rescue souls approaching hell.
