Plead in this Place

Read:  Psalm 84 / Proverbs 5 / Deut. 33 / 1 John 3

Psalm 84:5-6 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

Proverbs 5:9,11 Lest thou give thine honor unto others, and thy years unto the cruel… and thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed.

Deuteronomy 33:25,27 As thy days, so shall thy strength be… The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

1 John 3:2,3 Now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but… when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

This mournful valley where we live

Is filled with darkness and depression.

We need the strength that God will give

To plead for souls with intercession.

Beyond this valley where we die,

We’ll see our Savior face to face.

Let this assurance purify

Our testimony in this place.
