Psalm 140:7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
Proverbs 14:14,26,27 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways… In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence… a place of refuge… to depart from the snares of death.
Ezekiel 48:35 The name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there.
2 Peter 1:3,4 His divine power… called us to glory and virtue… given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that… ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The battle of backsliding hearts
Is overcome by heaven’s grace.
By fearing God, a soul departs
From sin through Christ our Hiding Place.
The presence of our Lord within
Should surely cause us to beware
And seek His cleansing from our sin
As we recall the Lord is there.
