"Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in His ways… thou shalt see thy children's children" (Psalm 128:1,6). "Children's children are the crown of old men" (Proverbs 17:6). "The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him" (Nahum 1:7). "Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have… Where is your faith?" (Luke 8:10,18).
We
ought to make it very clear
To children, and
their children too,
That they should
walk in godly fear
And wisely
choose what they pursue.
We choose God's pleasure
or His frown
By choices that
we daily make.
May children's
children choose the crown
Of living life
for Jesus' sake!
Let children's
children now take heed,
For God extends
to them His treasure.
Let fathers with
their children plead
That they may live
to give God pleasure.
O Lord, behold
our children's choices
When faith is
placed in fleeting things,
That they may
turn from other voices
To choose the
truth Your counsel brings.
