Ordained Opportunity

"Four leprous men… said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace… now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household" (2 Kings 7:3,9).  "I will say of the LORD, He is my Refuge and my Fortress: my God; in Him will I trust" (Psalm 91:2).  "The ransom of a man's life are his riches… a faithful ambassador is health" (Proverbs 13:8,17).  "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men" (Galatians 6:10).

The lepers said "We do not well"
With riches they were cherishing,
Deciding then to go and tell
Their neighbors who were perishing.

Should not we also do the same,
As we observe their wise behavior,
And bring good tidings in the name
Of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior?

Declare it here and all abroad:
Christ ransomed us eternally!
Rise up, ambassadors of God,
While there is opportunity!

Our opportunity today,
O Lord, has been ordained by You
To preach Your Word without delay,
Since days on earth are fast and few.
