Witness to the Wayward

"Thou hast rejected the Word of the LORD" (1 Samuel 15:23).  "They pierced My hands and My feet… A seed shall serve Him… They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this" (Psalm 22:16,30,31).  "Jesus Christ… is Lord of all… and we are witnesses of all things which He did… whom they slew and hanged on a tree… To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins" (Acts 10:36,39,43). 

As all the prophets prophesied

Regarding that which has occurred,

Our Savior would be crucified,

Yet many still reject His Word! 

The prophecy about Christ's shame,

The piercing of His hands and feet,

A thousand years before He came

Is, to the letter, now complete. 

We join the glad and grateful ranks,

Fulfilling our prophetic call,

As we bear witness, giving thanks,

Declaring Christ is Lord of all.  

We witness to the wayward now,

For this was once our own condition.   

Lord, teach us when, and where, and how

To best fulfill Your great commission.
