Discerning the Doors

“These things saith He that is holy, He that is true, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My name… Be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:7,8,19,20).

Behold, the door is open wide
Which God has opened in our day
With opportunities inside
To show the lost His saving way.

His Word is shining on the path
Of those who glorify His name;
He is the Door who saves from wrath
Because He bore our sin and shame.

The door God opens, none can close,
And He alone still holds the key.
To faithful servants now He shows
His door of opportunity.

Another door of which He speaks
Is closed as sinners make their choice,
Yet now the Savior knocks and seeks
For entrance as they hear His voice.

That door is shut by their volition,
Yet Christ has said He’ll enter in
As they acknowledge their condition
And honestly repent of sin.

O Lord, the moments quickly fly;
Eternity is drawing near!
The time is short to testify
And boldly make the Gospel clear!

Lord, thank You for these doors You’ve shown
And for the time Your grace extends
To further make Your Gospel known
Before this harvest season ends.

Before the coming tribulation
(By signs and seasons now discerned),
We show the Door of Your salvation
And pray for hearts, Lord, to be turned.
