“My heart standeth in awe of Thy Word. I rejoice at Thy Word, as one that findeth great spoil” (Psalm 119:161,162). “Wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it… For whoso findeth Me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD” (Proverbs 8:11,35). “Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever” (2 Peter 3:18).
My
heart now greatly stands in awe
Of
matchless wisdom in God’s Word!
I
meditate upon His Law
And
how my heart with joy is stirred!
It
is like coming to a field
Where
foes have all been put to flight,
And
there the spoil is revealed
Which
Christ has won, Who fought our fight!
The
Law of God portrays the Christ
In
all the tabernacle shown;
The
shadows of Him sacrificed
Depict
His awesome work foreknown.
There’s
nothing that can be desired
That’s
worth comparing to our Savior!
Fulfilling
all His Law required,
He
died to justly grant His favor.
Our
absolutely awesome Lord
Invites
us now seek His face!
There’s
so much more to be explored
As
we behold His truth and grace!
O
Lord, our time is far too short,
And
human words cannot express,
The
awesomeness of Your report
By
which we claim Your righteousness!
Lord,
thank You for Your awesome love
That
held You to that cross of shame
To
grant salvation from above
To
all who call upon Your name.
