"Teach me Thy way, O LORD; I will walk in Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name" (Psalm 86:11). "He also the received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word, and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful" (Matthew 13:22).
How uselessly our hearts have been
Divided when distractions came.
Revive our hearts, O Lord, again;
Unite ours heart to fear Your name.
In parables, O Lord, You spoke
Of cares, like thorns, which soon invited
Distractions in the heart which choke
Our fruitfulness when not united.
O Lord, we thank You that You give
A single focus to pursue:
Because You live we also live!
Unite our hearts to live for You!
