Supplication for Salvation

Read:  Psalm 63 / Proverbs 9 / Daniel 9 / Hebrews 1

Psalm 63:1,2 ~ O God… my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory… as… in the sanctuary.

Proverbs 9:10 ~ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Daniel 9:23,26 ~ At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved… After threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself.

Hebrews 1:3 ~ Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

The land wherein we walk is cursed

And every well therein is dry,

But Jesus satisfies our thirst,

For to this end, He came to die.

When Daniel made his supplication,

Messiah’s glory then was shown:

He was cut off for our salvation

And then ascended to His throne.
